Autumn’s Here

We had a day out and visited Cannon Hall near Barnsley in order to see the IGPOTY open air exhibition. Lily Pond in the Rain was one image that I took in the gardens at the hall.
I was recently made an offer by SAAL to produce a coffee table book of some of my images. This was in the form of a voucher for £100 and I decided to make a book of my favourite photos from our most recent visit to Harris and Lewis. I have made books before with

We visited Saltburn this morning to have lunch in the Seaview restaurant. As we came out after a delicious lunch there was glorious stormy light.

We recently spent a day in the Peak District on a workshop led by Chris Upton. We couldn’t have chosen a better day as the rest of the week was rather stormy. The evening light shortly before sunset was glorious.

It is so cold and damp here today that it feels as if autumn has arrived early. We have a really nice patch of poppies that have grown since we chopped back our weeping hollies. I guess they grew because the ground was disturbed when we took all the weeds out that had been hidden
